Hello Potential Busch Gardens Chaperones!
I want to thank each of you for considering to be a volunteer chaperone on December 5, 2025. Without you, trips like this would not be possible and I want you to know how grateful I am for your help.
If you have never filled out the application to volunteer in the school district or haven’t filled out the application in the last 3 years, please click the following link:

Chaperone Instructions:
- No smoking or drinking alcohol.
- Dress properly. Wear walking shoes and weather ready clothing.
- All chaperones must arrive at school by 9:15 am and sign in at the front office (yes, even the chaperones that are driving their cars to Busch Gardens).
- Click this link for information about parking at school when you get here.
- Meet Mr. Waraksa in the school cafeteria by 9:25 am.
- We will organize, take attendance, load busses and leave by 9:50 am.
- Due to legal liability concerns, ALL students must ride a bus to Busch Gardens (yes, even the children of chaperones that are driving).
- Chaperones that have elected to drive their own vehicle instead of taking the bus may head to their vehicle once we start loading busses. Keep in mind that you will have to pay for parking. Meet/wait for us at front entrance of Busch Gardens.
- Busses will arrive at Busch Gardens between 10:15 – 10:45 am.
- Chaperones will gather the group of students for which they are responsible. You will be responsible for the 4-5 students in you group the entire time in the park.
- This means that we DO NOT stay together as a big group. You will take your group on your own path through the park. Ride rides in whichever order you want. Eat lunch/snack wherever and whenever you want.
- Chaperones will receive envelopes with admission tickets, meal vouchers, and snack vouchers (1 per student/chaperone). Please do not give these to students (they will lose them). Hold onto them until time of use. Any issues with vouchers please call Mr. Waraksa, we may have extras.
- Please keep your group together at all times. Do not let students wander off by themselves.
- If you would like to team up with another chaperone(s) so that 2-3 groups are all walking together, that is perfectly fine. Just be aware that you are still responsible for the 4-5 students in your group.
- If there are any issues with students, call Mr. Waraksa.
- Please take a few water breaks throughout the day to help students stay hydrated (feel free to do this at water fountains).
- Please do bathroom visits as a group. No student is to be left alone in the park.
- Head towards the exit of Busch Gardens at 3:45pm.
- Once at exit area, allow group to go to gift shop if they’d like (don’t go before, we don’t want to carry stuff all day).
- Please make sure your group goes to the bathroom one last time before getting on bus (bus will not stop on the way back to school).
- Start loading the bus at 4:15 pm.
- Please return any unused tickets or vouchers to Mr. Waraksa.
- If you drove your own vehicle and want to sign your student out (so they can can ride home with you), you must meet face-to-face with Mr. Waraksa to confirm before leaving.
- Mr. Waraksa will double check to confirm all students are on busses and leave by 4:30pm.
- Arrive back to Barrington Middle School at approximately 5:30 pm.
- Thank you again for your willingness to help make this trip possible!!
You all have my number. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to call or text 🙂
THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!!!
